Valentine tag for the UK-Irelandcraftswaps giveaway challenge

Yvonne hosted this swap and this is my entry, we had to produce a large tag with at least three hearts, a stick pin and some lace.

I embossed the base card which was pink, rounded the corners and used some red and white dovecraft inks to distress the main body of the tag.  I added some crochet lace in a pale coffee colour to the bottom edge of the tag and added a paper flourish above that.

I cut out hearts from the Tim Holtz hearts die and embossed those.  I added some snowfoam white 'Heat it up'embossing powder, heat set that and distressed the edges with my scissors, using vintage photo distress ink to take the brightness off the finished hearts.  I added stick pins I made when I first started crafting last year and various red, cream and white flowers.  Finally added some tiny white pearl trim and some ribbon.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am not into pinks and frills but I loved making this and love how it turned out.
